labradorite-freeform-polished-standing-stone-with-a-full-face-of-blue-flash
Labradorite Freeform — Polished Standing Stone with a Full Face of Blue Flash

A polished labradorite freeform cut so the whole front face lights up electric blue when you turn it toward a lamp.

Labradorite only does this from certain angles. Hold it straight on in dull light and it is a plain gray stone with a few cream and rust colored patches. Tip it a few degrees toward a window and the entire face floods with deep blue, broken up by dark seams where the crystal changes direction.

The front is where all the flash lives. The back and sides are left as smooth polished gray green, so the piece reads quiet from behind and dramatic from the front. The base is cut flat.

Put it where it will catch a moving light source, near a window, beside a lamp, on a desk you walk past. A stone like this is wasted in a dark corner because the flash is the whole point, and it only shows when the light or the viewer moves.

Size: about 3 inches wide and about 2 inches tall
Weight: 8.2 ounces

Labradorite is the stone people reach for when they are doing something that takes nerve. The old name for the flash is labradorescence, and it gets read as the thing that is there whether or not anyone is looking, which is why it turns up so often as a protection stone and a stone for people who work in front of other people. Keep it somewhere you get ready, a desk, a dressing table, the shelf by the door, and let the blue be the reminder.

One of a kind. You are seeing the exact stone you will receive, photographed from every side.

Because natural minerals are delicate and can be damaged by the stress of shipping, we are unable to accept returns. If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos and we will make it right.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0732/5666/5166/files/00-hero_4855695e-d650-4091-bf1b-a67396eaec79.jpg?v=1790812963
https://shopgemsandstems.com/products/labradorite-freeform-polished-standing-stone-with-a-full-face-of-blue-flash
