The face is milky white and pale gray chalcedony with dark green moss drifting through it in plumes and tangles, like looking down at a mossy creek bed through clear water, and the green rind runs around the edge like a frame. The back is polished too, mostly that deep green with a few white windows, so it is a two sided piece.

At almost two pounds and three quarters of an inch thick it has real presence, and it comes on a metal pin stand with a solid wooden base that holds it upright and slightly tilted, the way you would hang a picture. In daylight the white glows and the moss reads darker and sharper.

Moss agate is the gardener's stone, read as the stone of growth, abundance and slow steady progress, the one for new starts that need patience, whether that is a seed tray, a business or a habit. It is also read as a calming stone for people who spend their days indoors and miss green things. A slab this size is a piece of the outdoors for a shelf, and the stand makes it a small framed picture of it. Set it where you read or work, or on a windowsill among plants, where it looks completely at home.

The product photographs show the exact piece you will receive, stand included.

Specifications
Stone: moss agate, polished both faces, natural green rind
Size: about 6.5 x 5 inches, about 0.75 inch thick
Weight: 1 lb 14.5 oz
Stand: metal pin stand on a wooden base, included

Please note: this is a natural stone and the moss patterns, small pits and edge shape are exactly as they formed.

Because natural minerals are delicate and can be damaged by the stress of shipping, we are unable to accept returns.
