This azurite and malachite specimen is the copper family in full color. Deep royal blue azurite druzy sparkles across the face like a midnight sky, while velvety green malachite blooms through it in soft patches. Both minerals sit on a warm rust orange matrix that makes the blues and greens absolutely sing. Every angle is a different painting.

She arrives ready to display on the included custom metal pin stand with a clear acrylic base, which holds her at the perfect angle to catch the light. Sourced from an African mineral auction, she is the kind of specimen that usually lives behind glass in a collection cabinet.

WHY AZURITE AND MALACHITE?

These two minerals are geological siblings. Both are copper carbonates, and malachite actually forms as azurite slowly transforms over millions of years, which is why you so often find them intertwined. A specimen showing both is a snapshot of that transformation caught mid-story.

In crystal traditions, azurite is the stone of insight, connected to the third eye chakra and prized by collectors and intuitives alike for sharpening perception. Malachite is the bold green guardian, associated with the heart chakra and with protection during change. Together they pair vision with courage, seeing clearly and acting on it, which is why azurite malachite is considered one of the great transformation stones.
