A polished banded agate geode, cut open down one side to a deep cave of fine sugary druzy quartz.

The outside is banded in smoke gray, soft blue and near black, polished to a glassy freeform that stands on its own flat base. The cave inside is lined edge to edge with tiny quartz crystals, and there are little dark specks scattered through them that catch as you turn it.

Worth knowing before you buy. This stone reads differently depending on the light. In daylight near a window the druzy goes silver and cool blue. Under warm indoor light it warms to tan and champagne. Both are in the photos, the daylight one first and the indoor one second. It is the same stone either way, and the changing is half the fun of it.

There is a natural seam running down the polished back, visible in the photos. It is part of how the stone formed and it is solid, not a repair.
