A length of driftwood with pale blue green fluorite clusters set along it and three small brass cups mounted on the top, made to hold spheres at three different heights.

Spheres are not included. The photos show it holding three to give you the idea of how it works, and none of those spheres are part of this listing. What you are buying is the driftwood stand with the fluorite and the three brass cups.

The wood is the shape it came in, a forked piece with a bend in the middle and all the knots and splits left in it. The fluorite is the pale aqua kind with cubic crystals stacked on one another, and the clusters are glued onto the surface of the wood rather than being part of it, which is how a piece like this is put together. Because they run along the whole length instead of sitting in one spot, the arrangement looks considered rather than scattered, and the three cups sit at different heights and angles so a row of spheres on it staggers instead of lining up flat.

Size: about 7.5 inches wide and about 3 inches tall

One of a kind, exactly the piece in the photos.

Put it where it has room on both sides, a console, a mantel, the middle of a dining table. It is long and low, which is exactly the shape a shelf full of upright pieces is missing, so it reads as a centerpiece rather than a single specimen, and if you have spheres already sitting in bowls or rolling around on a shelf this gets them up where you can actually see them.

Fluorite is the stone people reach for when the mental desk is covered in paper. It has a long reputation for sorting out a muddle and for making a decision feel smaller than it did, and mounted on a piece like this it ends up somewhere people walk past every day rather than shut in a cabinet. The wood brings its own thing, which is that it was shaped by water and time and nobody designed it.
