Most spheres give you one thing. This one gives you a landscape and then opens a cave in the middle of it.

The body of the stone is moss agate, translucent chalcedony with green mineral growth suspended inside it. Those green fronds are not plant matter, they only look like it. They are mineral, and they grew branching through the silica the way frost grows across a window. Around them the agate runs in soft blue grey bands, layer on layer, following the shape of the cavity it filled.

Then there is the pocket. A wide open geode cave, cut right through the surface, lined wall to wall with small clear quartz crystals. In daylight it throws light back at you in a hundred small points. Under a lamp it goes quieter and more silvery. The edge of the cave is finished in pale blue chalcedony that curls over the rim like a wave.

Turn it and you get a different world every time. One side is deep green and almost forested. One side is nearly all crystal. Somewhere in between the two meet along a band of cream and rust.
