Ocean Jasper Sphere with Raw Druzy Pocket, Green Orbicular Crystal Ball, 2.6 Inch

An ocean jasper sphere with one side left raw, where a pocket of tiny druzy crystals opens straight out of the polished surface. The finished face is deep green and grey green, carrying the pale ringed orbs this material is known for, with soft lavender grey drifting between them and a quiet band of dark brown and olive below the opening. The raw pocket is a crust of pale sage green crystal tips, matte and grainy against all that polish.

Spheres like this are usually cut to be perfect the whole way round. This one was cut to keep the cavity instead, which means you get both the finished stone and the hollow it grew around in the same piece.

Ocean jasper turns up in the lore as a stone of tides and patience, which suits it, because the orbs in it really did form in rings, one layer at a time, the way most slow things happen. People reach for it when they want to feel carried rather than driven.
